I for one have spent thousands of dollars in photography equipment, have at least 10 different types of camera bags, and many of my previous family vacations were stressed by the weight of my camera and lenses. Commercial photographers (or professionals, if you will) are defined not by themselves but by who their publishers are (i.e., their clients), not by who carries a camera, how much gear they own, or what kind.
