A competent and talented photographer can make a terrific photograph with an empty oatmeal box, a pinhole, and a piece of film, or a CMOS chip, Scotch-taped inside. Don’t confuse the technology of photography (i.e., the tools) with either the profession or the art of making photographs (i.e., the creativity). You can automate the tools with which to create things, but you cannot automate creativity. Nor can AI, or ever will it. The technology and the AI itself (algorithms) are created by competent and talented humans.
